Program Overview

"Reading Came First" is a unique book club program launched by the RAPBRARY in partnership with The Closet Unlocked and Nobody's Darling Bar. This program aims to celebrate and amplify literature by Black and Brown LGBTQIA+ authors globally. It offers a platform for participants to engage in meaningful dialogue, connect with the community, and explore the richness of Black LGBTQIA+ experiences. The book club will meet monthly, with book selections rotating every other month to allow ample time for reading, reflection, and discussion.

Book Club Meeting #4 Details:

  • Our next meeting will take place on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at 3:30PM, with a tour of a a special discussion around our selected text and curated cocktails.
